Use Audience Interaction in your next talk

There’s a simple but MIGHTY tool for drawing your audience in during your talk - whether on stage or remote - and most people don’t use it.

It’s AUDIENCE INTERACTION.

During the recent Grace Demo Day, the amazing team I coached for their pitch included a simple show of hands.

They were the only ones of the 11 pitches to do so (proud coach moment: they went on to win the audience choice award!).

There’s many ways to engage the audience, it’s not super complicated:

- Have people turn to their neighbor
- Request a quick phone action
- Guide a brief eyes-closed moment
- Invite a quick stand-up/sit-down
- Remote setting: Share an emoji, answer a quick poll, etc

I've seen speakers even make the audience sing!

And here's why it works:

- Gets you out of your head
- Creates breathing room (for you AND your audience)
- Builds instant connection
- Helps make your message land
- Gives you space to insert your personal, spontaneous VIBE

When you involve your audience, you’re not just delivering information - you’re creating an EXPERIENCE.

Go for it, include your audience in your next talk!
